I have a hard time talking to people about my problems. How can therapy help me?

It can be difficult to speak to someone that you do not know about intimate details of your life; however, psychotherapy provides a space for you to discuss your strengths and areas that are currently a challenge for you. You are a strong person for seeking help, and if you notice something in your life is not working, therapy can help.

How long would it take for me to get better?

According to research, most people begin to experience an improvement in symptoms after their first few sessions. We will discuss your current needs and work to develop your areas of strength.

What do I need to do in therapy?

You will work with Dr. Armstrong to create a treatment plan to address areas of concerns in your life that you would like to work on. Sessions involve but are not limited to aspects such as processing emotions, setting goals, and homework assignments to practice skills you learn.

How long does psychological testing take?

Psychological testing is done to answer a specific diagnostic concern. With this in mind, testing is normally completed in one, 4-hour day. However, in other cases, testing may be spilt over two days to allow appropriate time for testing and to reduce test fatigue.
